"What's nice about turkey is that it's a widely recognized food and it's very inexpensive. When you buy pre-portioned cuts of turkey, like the ones I use for Turkey Tenderloins, the food cost percentage is still very low. The great thing about turkey tenderloins specifically is their versatility. You can dress them up with turkey bacon, add a nice port wine sauce to it, as I do in my Bacon Wrapped Turkey Tenderloins with Port Sauce recipe, and serve it with a little bit of a flare (whether it's the mushroom pasta, a mashed Yukon gold potato or a sweet potato) and it's still a very low cost item. However, your restaurant will see high gains from this recipe simply because it offers an upscale presentation. You can dress up the plate and sell it for a little more money than you would if you served it in the traditional fashion with gravy, mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce. "

"When you're discussing preparation, turkey tenderloins are great, even from a frozen state. Turkey cooks relatively fast if you use small, four to six ounce-size portions, like tenderloins, cutlets and ground turkey. Turkey is also a great menu addition because you can market its low-cholesterol, high-protein benefits."

"The turkey tenderloins have subtle, gentle, flavors and limitless versatility of which can be highlighted by using diverse ingredients. The tenderloins flavors' can be complimented by using sweet fruit to highlight sweetness of the meat. Earthy nuts and savory mushrooms will add texture while the simplicity of herbs and spices characterize the quality of the tenderloins. Their ease of preparation, nutritional qualities and quick cooking time allow them to customize an assortment of recipes and diets. Whether it is a simple soup or an inspirational culinary creation the turkey tenderloin is a quality ingredient I enjoy using in the kitchen."
